Hello! 

 

I am Nick Yannotty, the Founder of Breakthrough-Butler. This summer my team and I are running our summer day camp – Camp Breakthrough – for its 5th edition! In addition to our camp, we are running the revamped Parks & Plates Summer Program ~ this program provides free lunches, activities, and leadership from responsible and caring adults to all youth ages 18 & under at five public locations – Father Marinaro Park, Memorial Park, Rotary Park, Christie Avenue Playground, & Institute Hill Playground.

 

Being able to provide programs with responsible adult leadership gives the youth something to strive towards, as well as a place to go and decrease the chance of getting into trouble or giving into negative influences during the summer months where there is more down time since school is out of session.

 

Our goal of Camp Breakthrough and the Parks & Plates Summer Program is to keep building a positive movement in this community, while giving a safe and uplifting space to the youth where they can come as they are, learn invaluable life skills, build healthy relationships, and ultimately start to build better versions of themselves and their peers. This is in coordination

with our year-round youth and high-school sports programs and events.
